I actually installed the (older) XDarwin server on Panther, mostly
because I didn't like the way that Apple's X11 dint't work with
window managers other than Apple's.

I'll try to run the CLX demos in that environment; that should
give some indication of which side of the connection the problem's
on.

(The version of Apple's X11 that ships with Panther is newer than
the versions that were available under Jaguar.  That makes it worth
looking at, but of course the bug could be in the lisp or CLX or ...)
