I think a Mac only environment would be the most interesting and fun  
to use. No matter how hard you try, cross-platform is always a  
compromise. Even at the cross platform user level in something like  
CAPI, you spend large amounts of time trying to get the details right  
for each platform. If you are developing the toolkit itself, this has  
to be a significant amount of the development effort and dominates a  
lot of the design decisions.

As others have said, no telling how to pay for it with such a small  
focused market.

If you decide on a cross-platform toolkit, what would make some one  
choose it over LispWorks? I realize CAPI has a number of issues, but  
solving those is likely a smaller task than starting over.
