I am the author of this patch :-)

And I am really surprise (and happy) that someone always uses it ... 
Excuse my lack of answer but with all the spam I am afraid I loose 
your message.

Unfortunatelly, as I work on an Intel Mac, I no longer use MCL 5.2 
and to be honest I forgot a lot of knowledge about the way MCL is 
working ...

If the situation change (read if an Intel-MCL version is available 
one day) I will try to look at the problem ...
